NAACP Image Awards

Tika has been nominated for a 2008 NAACP Image Award in the category of "Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Series".

The NAACP Image Awards honors projects and individuals that promote diversity in the arts in television, recording, literature and motion pictures.

The 39th NAACP Image Awards will air live on Thursday, February 14 (8:00 - 10:00 PM EST) on Fox-TV.

ABC Daytime stars will be among the performers at ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a special benefit performance to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

The show will feature more than 30 stars from ABC's Daytime programs, The View, All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital. Among the scheduled performers are Tika Sumpter, Kamar de los Reyes, Kassie De Paiva, Jason Tam, Anthony Geary, Susan Lucci, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and many many more.
